Help with Lomography?

At the moment I use a canon eos 400d and recently have been looking at purchasing a Lomography Diana F+ CMYK to start doing lomography.

I have never done it in my life and am wondering what sort of equipment, software and chemicals i need to start off. The camera is £80 but I don’t know about the rest. How much would it be?

Do you need a license for the chemicals and is it the type of camera that needs it’s film developed like that?

All help, advice and tips appreciated

Lomo cameras use film:

* NO software
* C-21 chemistry is far too difficult to use if you do NOT have extensive experience developing black and white film AND have a reliable location to dispose of the hazardous chemical waste. Better just to have your local chemist develop and print the film for you.

You do know that unlike your 400D, the Diana only has two apertures and one timed shutter speed. Before spending all your hard earned £80 (these cameras cost under $45 USD in the States) on the LOMO camera, try taking photos using ONLY 1/125th second @ f/8 or f/11 using your digital camera. It will give you a sense of how difficult it will be to get proper exposures using a LOMO camera

If you are really curious about using film, buy a nice used Canon 35 mm EOS camera and use it in much the same way you use your 400D. That transition will be seamless.
