can a 240v switching power supply run off a 277v circuit?

The supply is rated 100 to 280v input. We have three phase capacity, but will have to add 120/240.

If the unit is rated for 100 to 280 volts input, then it will operate on a 277 v circuit. The 3 phase system you have is apparently a 480/277 grounded wye system.

I would guess the power supply was designed with the use of 277 volts in mind. I don’t know of any nominal 280 volts system.
