i need a recommendation for a motion detector for if someone breaks a window in my car or something?
this morning i found my car with the drivers window shattered and my tomtom gps stolen. my alarm system didn’t go off. so i guess what needs to be added to my alarm is a motion detector for if someone breaks the glass and reaches inside. any recommendations ?
i did check on google they do make them but i just wanted to know which one is good and worth it. and they werent that much money
There’s not really a “motion sensor” for a car alarm system, however it should have gone off when the window was shattered. It could be that your alarm system is only for tampered handles/locks. My brothers goes off if you look at it funny, and that’s not a joke. It just depends on what you have. I’m not aware of any system that protects shattered windows, but you should research Google or something. They can be a tad expensive.
3-20-09: OK well I looked, and when it comes to these things, the one that would be best is one of the more expensive ones. It will save you money in the long run, since you won’t have to replace any more GPS’s.
