My hd dvr receiver is slow.Everytime I press the channel button,it takes about 4 to 5 seconds to change.Why?
I have recordings of about 70% of its gigabytes.Im not sure if it matter.Direct tv reps cant fix it either.
the internal switching device that is built into the low noise blocker is beginning to fail, its located at the end of the arm attached to your dish. each channel is dedicated to a specific transponder from the broadcasting satellite.so every time you change channels that switch is what makes it happen.you need a service call. a full hard drive can lead to some files to become broken or missing during play back, dump what you dont need , fluctuating currant in your household electrical system will cause this as well since your receiver doesn’t have its own dedicated power supply.if its plugged into a power strip, remove it and plug directly to the wall, if you feel you need surge protection make that dedicated as well, no strips
