I was told by a video camera repair shop that my camera has a faulty CCD Base assy. What is a CCD Base assy?

The CCD (Charge-coupled device)is a sensor for recording images, consisting of an integrated circuit containing an array of linked, or coupled, capacitors.
The base assemble which what I think the repair man is talking about is where it sits on the mainboard of the camera. Either the solders have failed or the bracket which the CCD sits in has a fault.
