How do you turn the power off on the Canon T70 35mm camera?
We just bought this camera for my husband at an estate auction for $20 and it is like new! It came with 3 lenses and the T277 flash. When we put in new batteries, it powered up just great, but we can’t find any information on how to turn the power off. Does the LCD just stay on all the time? We’ve downloaded the users’ manual and searched the web, but can’t find the answer. Thanks in advance for your help!

Many of the Canon consumer cameras do not go to full off. They keep the LCD on. Yes this uses the battery, Yes they will use up the battery eventually. The closest to being turned off is when you turn the mode knob to L. This turns off the camera circuits but leaves the LCD/status display turned on.
